The Pokémon Peninsula > Trainer's Eyes Tutorial
If you've played Ruby or Sapphire (and let's face it, if you're looking at this page you probably have) you've seen the Trainer's Eyes in the PokéNav. I get lots of requests from people asking me to make them a Trainer's Eyes - I also get a lot of questions about how to make them, so I've put together this mini-tutorial.
NB: This tutorial is for users of Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop/Elements only. I haven't made a PSP template yet, mainly since I still haven't figured out how to use my copy of PSP5 XD.
OK, I made a template for a Trainer's Eyes. It's a Macromedia Fireworks PNG file with all layers intact, so you can edit it. All the text regions are editable, and you can delete the sprite that's there and put in your own. You need WinZip or something to unzip the archive. I also converted it to a Photoshop file, but I'm not sure how well it would work since I don't have Photoshop to test it in. So I know the Fireworks one works, but I'm not sure about the Photoshop one - just fiddle around a bit I guess.

Tips and Tricks
You need the Pokémon RS font if you don't have it, you can get it from this page.
Watch your capitalization - remember, things like "Pokémaniac" should be "POKéMANIAC" on your Trainer's Eyes.
There are some spacing issues with the font - it isn't completely accurate, so if you find yourself running out of room for what you want to put: 1. Change all spaces to 12pt font. 2. Play around with the kerning until it looks right.
Please don't remove the "www.pokepeninsula.tk" tagline - it's barely noticeable, and if you're using this template I've done most of the work for you so it's only fair that you leave that on.
The only symbol not in the RS font that you're likely to need is the PKMN symbol. This is the one to use in the top part (red background): This is the one to use in the main body (pink background): (You might need to recolor it depending on which part of the Trainer's Eyes you are using it in, or if you're using it for something else.)
