Pokémon Advanced Challenge, Episode ??

The Case of the K-9 Caper

Written by Caroline

Ash and his friends continue their journey towards Cinnabar Island where Ash will compete for his 7th badge. But their journey is interrupted when they see a thief coming towards them. Ash orders Pikachu to attack the man, but Pikachu backs down when he sees that the thief has a gun. A few seconds later a bunch of Growlithe come running towards the man where they attack him and after the man drops his gun, Pikachu is ready to attack. But after Pikachu uses his thunder shock attack the Growlithe form a circle around Ash and friends and start to growl. This is when Officer Jenny appears and she helps the man up and that's when Ash and company realize that the man wasn't a real thief - that he was indeed a police officer that was teaching the Growlithe.

While Ash and the others talk to Officer Jenny, up high in a tree nearby Team Rocket is watching them where they start to plot ways how they can steal the Growlithe from Officer Jenny.

Later on, Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu eat dinner at the police station where Ash talks about how brave the Growlithe were, and how he would love it if Officer Jenny would let Pikachu train with the Growlithe. She agrees and says that Pikachu and Ash can come along to tomorrow's training lesson.

But one thing that Ash hadn't been counting on was for the lesson to be starting at four o'clock in the morning. After finally waking up, Ash and Pikachu follow Officer Jenny and her Growlithe towards the training field where Pikachu has to go through a course... but Ash thought that he wouldn't be doing it, but he also has to run the course because Officer Jenny says that if you don't do what you order your Pokemon to do then they will never respect you.

Unfortunately the course is harder than it looks, and Ash and Pikachu struggle through most of the course. After doing the course, Ash and Pikachu relax for a few minutes but they get interrupted by the sound of a bus smashing through one of the fences that surrounded the police station. Ash and friends run towards the bus which looks like a Growlithe to find that once again it's Team Rocket, but this time they aren't after Pikachu, they are in fact after the Growlithe.
At first Ash and the others think that Team Rocket are crazy but soon enough they realize that Team Rocket may succeed in stealing the Growlithe. This happens when Team Rocket spray two gases. One of the gases can make the Growlithe lose their sense of smell while the other gas affects the voices of everyone making their voices sound unusually squeaky.

Jessie and James then change their clothes to a police uniform. They then used some speakers to change their voice so it sounds like Officer Jenny's voice. After this, they say some commands to the Growlithe which the Growlithe actually follow. Officer Jenny is shocked, but when she tries to ask the Growlithe to do something they don't follow her commands since now that her voice has been changed the Growlithe can't follow her orders because they have been only taught to obey orders from Jenny's voice.

Jessie then orders one of the Growlithe to tie Jenny up, and after that Jessie gets a brilliant idea. If her plan has fooled the Growlithe then perhaps the same thing may happen to Pikachu. She tries this, but fails because Pikachu can't be fooled by a fake voice.

Soon Jessie, James and Meowth decide that perhaps they should just leave, but Officer Jenny won't allow it, so Jessie orders one of the Growlithe to attack her. The Growlithe obeys and bites Jenny's hand, but something triggers in Growlithe's mind as he remembers all the good times that he has had with Jenny. The spell is then broken and now all the other Growlithe know now that they have been tricked. They then attack Team Rocket. But Meowth who had been driving the bus drives off leaving Jessie and James alone to fight off the police dogs. But they freak out and run after Meowth and the Growlithe have been saved from Team Rocket.

Later on, Ash and friends say their farewells to Officer Jenny. But while doing so, Brock who has stolen one of the speakers from Team Rocket speaks about how much Officer Jenny loves him. They then leave the area and head back towards Cinnabar Island where Brock drops the speaker onto the ground and Jigglypuff picks it up and that's the end of the episode.
