The Pokémon Peninsula > Pokémon Gold/Silver
Pokémon Gold and Silver were a Poké-revolution! Gold and Silver introduced 100 new Pokémon and a new land to explore, Johto. The aim, however, was still to catch 'em all! Other new things included Pokémon genders and breeding (the Day-Care Centre takes two Pokémon and they will breed if compatible) and more difficulty in capturing the three "special" legendaries (in this case, the dogs Entei, Raikou and Suicune).
Pokémon Gold and Silver are for the GameBoy Color system, meaning that they will work on any GameBoy version from Color up but not on GameBoy or GameBoy Pocket. Most Pokémon can be found in both games, but there are a number that can only be found in one or the other. To catch all Pokémon and complete the Pokédex, Pokémon must be traded using a Game Link Cable between two players.
